    XALATAN

    LATANOPROST OPHTH. (XALATAN)

    HOW MEDICINE IS ADMINISTERED? TOP
    Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label, unless instructed differently by your doctor
    * WASH hands prior to administration.
    * To prevent contamination, do not touch the tip of the container to the eye, finger or any surface.
    * Avoid touching the dropper to any other surface.
    * DO NOT share container with other patients. DO NOT allow tip of container to touch the nasal passage. DISCARD after medicine is no longer required.
    * WASH hands immediately after using medication.
    * Wait 10 minutes before applying any different eye medication.
    WARNINGS/PRECAUTIONS: TOP
    * Safety of use during pregnancy has not been established. This medicine SHOULD NOT BE USED DURING PREGNANCY unless benefit justifies potential risk to the fetus. CALL YOUR DOCTOR.
    * Do not instill this medication while wearing contact lenses.
    * Reinsert lenses at least 15 minutes after placing medication into the eyes.
    * Notify doctor if stinging, burning, itching, redness, irritation, swelling, decreasing vision or pain persists or worsens.
    * This medication may slowly change the eye color to a browner shade. Notify your doctor of any change in eye color.
    ADVERSE REACTIONS: Stop taking this medicine and get emergency help IMMEDIATELY if you experience:
    Skin rash; Shortness of breath.
    Stop taking this medicine and notify your doctor AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience:
    Eye color change; Eye inflammation; Migraine.
    Other Common Side Effects: TOP
    Feeling of something in the eye; Blurred vision; Transient eye burning/stinging; Tearing; Increased eyelash length; Dry eyes; Engorgement of blood; Sweating; Respiratory infection; Back pain; Muscle pain; Eye itching.
    Other Common Side Effects:
    If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome, check with your doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE, CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.
