    CALCIUM WITH VIT D ORAL (DICAL-D)

    BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE: Tell your doctor: TOP
    If you are PREGNANT; If you are BREAST FEEDING.
    Tell your doctor if you are having any of the following conditions: TOP
    KIDNEY DISEASE; HISTORY OF NEPHROLITHIASIS (KIDNEY STONES); HEART CONDITION; PARATHYROID GLAND DISEASE; CIRCULATION PROBLEMS.
    * Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical problems; pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
    * Check with your Doctor, Pharmacists, or Nurse if information in this leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information about your medicine and its use.
    HOW MEDICINE IS ADMINISTERED? TOP
    Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label, unless instructed differently by your doctor
    * This medicine should be taken WITH a full glass of water (6-8oz).
    * Swallow whole, unless otherwise directed by your physician. DO NOT crush or chew.
    * Take with food or milk to increase absorption.
    WARNINGS/PRECAUTIONS: TOP
    * Safety of use during pregnancy has not been established. This medicine SHOULD NOT BE USED DURING PREGNANCY unless benefit justifies potential risk to the fetus. CALL YOUR DOCTOR.
    * Notify MD if signs of high calcium levels occur: weakness, headache, somnolence, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, constipation, (continued below)
    * bone pain, muscle pain, metallic taste, weight loss or fever.
    * Inform your doctor if you have KIDNEY DISEASE; monitoring of renal function and/or dose adjustment may be necessary.
    * Contact your physician immediately if signs of KIDNEY STONE develop (sudden back pain, abdominal pain, or blood in urine)
    * Because of INTERACTIONS, report the use of any other prescription or nonprescription medicines, including natural/herbal remedies, to your doctor.
    * If the constipation effects from this drug are bothersome, talk with you doctor about stool softeners or laxatives.
    Stop taking this medicine and notify your doctor AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience:
    Nausea; Vomiting; Headache; Confusion; Constipation; Decreased appetite; Muscle pain; Muscle weakness; Joint pain.
    Other Common Side Effects: TOP
    Stomach discomfort or pain; Metallic taste; Dry mouth; Sleepiness; Increased thirst; High calcium level; Bone pain; Irritability; Urinating at night.
    Other Common Side Effects:
    If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome, check with your doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE, CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.
    Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088.
