    IBUPROFEN CHILDREN'S

    IBUPROFEN ORAL

    CARDIOVASCULAR RISKS
    * This medicine can increase your risk of life-threatening heart or circulation problems, including heart attack or stroke.
    * Seek emergency medical help if you have symptoms of heart or circulation problems, such as chest pain, weakness, shortness of breath, slurred speech, or problems with vision or balance.
    * Do not use this medicine just before or after having heart bypass surgery (also called coronary artery bypass graft, or CABG).

    GASTROINTESTINAL RISKS
    * This medicine can also increase your risk of serious effects on the stomach or intestines, including bleeding or perforation (forming of a hole). These conditions can be fatal and gastrointestinal effects can occur without warning at any time while you are taking this medicine. Older adults may have an even greater risk of these serious gastrointestinal side effects.
    * Call your doctor at once if you have symptoms of bleeding in your stomach or intestines. This includes black, bloody, or tarry stools, or coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds.

    BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE: Tell your doctor: TOP
    IF YOU ARE TAKING A DIURETIC; IF YOU ARE TAKING A BLOOD THINNER; IF YOU ARE OVER 65 YEARS OF AGE.
    Tell your doctor if you are having any of the following conditions: TOP
    STOMACH ULCER; BLEEDING PROBLEMS; HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE; HEART CONDITION; KIDNEY DISEASE; LIVER PROBLEMS.
    * Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical problems; pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
    * Check with your Doctor, Pharmacists, or Nurse if information in this leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information about your medicine and its use.
    HOW MEDICINE IS ADMINISTERED? TOP
    Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label, unless instructed differently by your doctor
    * Take with food or milk to minimize stomach upset.
    * DO NOT EXCEED recommended dosage.
    * Taking more than the recommended dose may cause stomach bleeding.
    * Patient should read specific "MEDICATION GUIDE" provided with this medicine before starting treatment and each time their prescription is renewed.
    WARNINGS/PRECAUTIONS: TOP
    * STOP TAKING MEDICINE & GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF A HYPERSENSITIVITY OR ANAPHYLACTIC REACTION occurs: (see symptoms below):-
    * Improvement may take 2-4 weeks or longer.
    * shortness of breath, fast or irregular breathing, fever, joint pain, fast pulse, lightheadedness or fainting, swelling of face, hives, & itching.
    * There are no adequate or well-controlled safety studies in pregnant women. NOTIFY YOUR DOCTOR IF PREGNANT or intend to become pregnant.
    * DO NOT TAKE if you ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, or any medicine used to treat pain, fever, or arthritis.
    * Inform doctor or dentist that you are taking this medicine BEFORE HAVING ANY KIND OF SURGERY including dental surgery or medical procedure.
    * DO NOT DRINK alcoholic beverages or take alcohol-containing preparations while being treated with this medicine.
    * Because of INTERACTIONS, report the use of any other prescription or nonprescription medicines, including natural/herbal remedies, to your doctor.
    * The results of some MEDICAL or LAB tests may be affected by this medicine. Inform the doctor in charge that you are taking this medicine.
    * This medication may cause stomach or intestine bleeding and ulceration. Contact your doctor immediately if heartburn or stomach discomfort occurs.
    * Inform your doctor if you are taking a prescription drug for anticoagulation (blood thinning).
    * Consult your doctor before taking aspirin or aspirin containing products.
    ADVERSE REACTIONS: Stop taking this medicine and get emergency help IMMEDIATELY if you experience:
    Shortness of breath, fast or irregular breathing, fever, joint pain, fast pulse, lightheadedness or fainting, swelling of face, hives, & itching.
    Stop taking this medicine and notify your doctor AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience:
    Skin rash; Swelling of feet or lower legs; Visual disturbances; Itching; Stomach or intestinal bleeding; Weight gain; Headache.
    Other Common Side Effects: TOP
    Gastric or intestinal ulcers; Dizziness; Nausea; Heartburn; Rapid heart rate; High blood pressure; Irregular heartbeat; Abnormal blood cell count; Confusion; Drowsiness; Congestive heart failure; Hallucinations; Liver inflammation; Difficulty falling asleep; Fluid retention; Stomach or intestinal perforation; Nervousness; Ringing in ears; Vomiting; Stomach discomfort or pain; Indigestion; Unusual tiredness or weakness; Severe skin itching with patches.
    Other Common Side Effects:
    If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome, check with your doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE, CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.
    Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088.
    Taking this medication may cause the following mineral depletion: TOP
    FOLIC ACID.
