    GALANTAMINE ER

    GALANTAMINE HBR ER ORAL (RAZADYNE ER)

    BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE: Tell your doctor if you are having any of the following conditions: TOP
    HEART CONDITION; URINARY RETENTION; EPILEPSY; LIVER PROBLEMS; KIDNEY DISEASE; ASTHMA; CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE (COPD); ANOREXIA; PEPTIC ULCER.
    * Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical problems; pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
    * Check with your Doctor, Pharmacists, or Nurse if information in this leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information about your medicine and its use.
    HOW MEDICINE IS ADMINISTERED? TOP
    Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label, unless instructed differently by your doctor
    * Take this medicine WITH MEALS. You may take immediately before or immediately after meals.
    * Drink several glasses of WATER during the day, unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
    * If therapy has been interrupted for several days or longer, restart at lowest dose and then escalate to current dose.
    * EXTENDED RELEASE FORMULATION: do not crush or chew. Swallow whole
    * EXTENDED RELEASE FORMULATION: take once daily in the morning preferably with food
    * Patient should read specific "MEDICATION GUIDE" provided with this medicine before starting treatment and each time their prescription is renewed.
    WARNINGS/PRECAUTIONS: TOP
    * There are no adequate or well-controlled safety studies in pregnant women. NOTIFY YOUR DOCTOR IF PREGNANT or intend to become pregnant.
    * This medicine may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. DO NOT drive or operate machines until you know how you react to this medicine.
    * Stop taking this medication and contact your doctor if severe nausea, vomiting or diarrhea occurs.
    * This medication is not a cure. However, it may improve thinking and memory.
    * This medication may cause stomach or intestine bleeding and ulceration. Contact your doctor immediately if heartburn or stomach discomfort occurs.
    * Because of INTERACTIONS, report the use of any other prescription or nonprescription medicines, including natural/herbal remedies, to your doctor.
    * SPECIAL POPULATIONS:
    * Patients with Hepatic Impairment: Administer with CAUTION to patients with liver disease.
    * Patients with Renal Impairment: Not recommended for use in patients with severe renal insufficiency.
    * Race: Pharmacokinetic difference due to race have not been determined.
    * Gender: The effect of gender on the pharmacokinetics of this medicine has not been determined.
    Stop taking this medicine and notify your doctor AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience:
    Slowness of heartbeat; Loss of consciousness (fainting); Bloody or dark urine; Suicidal tendency.
    Other Common Side Effects: TOP
    Nausea; Diarrhea; Decreased appetite; Vomiting; Dizziness; Headache; Urinary tract infection; Depression; Difficulty falling asleep; Weight loss; Stomach discomfort or pain; Indigestion; Unusual tiredness or weakness; Sleepiness; Nasal congestion; Shakiness; Anemia.
    Other Common Side Effects:
    If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome, check with your doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE, CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.
