    XENICAL

    ORLISTAT ORAL (XENICAL)

    BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE: Tell your doctor if you are having any of the following conditions: TOP
    THYROID problem; DIABETES; LIVER PROBLEMS.
    * Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical problems; pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
    * Check with your Doctor, Pharmacists, or Nurse if information in this leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information about your medicine and its use.
    HOW MEDICINE IS ADMINISTERED? TOP
    Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label, unless instructed differently by your doctor
    * Patient should read specific "MEDICATION GUIDE" provided with this medicine before starting treatment and each time their prescription is renewed.
    * Take this medicine WITH MEALS. You may take immediately before or immediately after meals.
    * If you occasionally miss a meal or have a meal without fat, you can OMIT this meal's dose.
    * A reduced-calorie DIET and increased physical activity are usually part of the treatment regimen. Follow prescribed diet and exercise programs.
    * Take a daily MULTI-VITAMIN supplement that contains vitamin D, E, K, and beta-carotene at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after taking this medicine.
    WARNINGS/PRECAUTIONS: TOP
    * There are no adequate or well-controlled safety studies in pregnant women. NOTIFY YOUR DOCTOR IF PREGNANT or intend to become pregnant.
    * Notify doctor of any signs suggesting LIVER problems (eg, unusual fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, yellowing of eyes, dark urine).
    Other Common Side Effects: TOP
    Stomach discomfort or pain; Diarrhea; Gas; Bloating; Nausea.
    Other Common Side Effects:
    If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome, check with your doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE, CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.
    Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088.
    Taking this medication may cause the following mineral depletion: TOP
    VITAMIN D; VITAMIN E; BETACAROTENE ORAL (SOLATENE).
