    NADOLOL/BENDROFLUMET

    NADOLOL/BENDROFLUMETH. ORAL (CORZIDE)

    BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE: Tell your doctor if you are having any of the following conditions: TOP
    THYROID problem.
    * Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical problems; pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
    * Check with your Doctor, Pharmacists, or Nurse if information in this leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information about your medicine and its use.
    HOW MEDICINE IS ADMINISTERED? TOP
    Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label, unless instructed differently by your doctor
    * BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE, tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to SULFONAMIDES (sulfa drugs).
    * This medicine can be taken with or without food, REGARDLESS of meal times. If stomach upset occurs, take with food.
    WARNINGS/PRECAUTIONS: TOP
    * STOP TAKING MEDICINE & GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF A HYPERSENSITIVITY OR ANAPHYLACTIC REACTION occurs: (see symptoms below):-
    * shortness of breath, fast or irregular breathing, fever, joint pain, fast pulse, lightheadedness or fainting, swelling of face, hives, & itching.
    * Safety of use during pregnancy has not been established. This medicine SHOULD NOT BE USED DURING PREGNANCY unless benefit justifies potential risk to the fetus. CALL YOUR DOCTOR.
    * DO NOT TAKE if you have ever had an ALLERGIC or an unusual REACTION to SULFA drugs.
    * This medicine is CONTRAINDICATED (should not be used) in patients with ASTHMA or bronchospasm, including severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
    * This medicine may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. DO NOT drive or operate machines until you know how you react to this medicine.
    * DO NOT DRINK alcoholic beverages or take alcohol-containing preparations while being treated with this medicine.
    * LUPUS-like syndromes(rash, difficulty breathing, arthritis), or exacerbation of lupus erythmatosus have occurred in patients receiving this medicine.
    * This medicine may cause increased sensitivity to the sun. You should AVOID prolonged or excessive exposure to direct and/or artificial sunlight.
    * Because of INTERACTIONS, report the use of any other prescription or nonprescription medicines, including natural/herbal remedies, to your doctor.
    * DIABETICS: This medicine may mask signs of hypoglycemia or alter blood glucose levels.
    * This medicine may increase BLOOD SUGAR levels in diabetics, dose adjustment of diabetes medicine may be necessary.
    * Watch for signs of HIGH BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS (fruity mouth odor, increased hunger, increased thirst, increased urination, fatigue, blurred vision).
    * This medicine may cause GOUT attacks. Contact doctor if significant sudden joint pain occurs.
    * This medicine may cause increased levels of cholesterol and/or other lipids. Use with caution if you have moderate to high lipid concentrations.
    * Notify doctor if symptoms of CHF occur (eg, difficult breathing, especially on exertion or lying down; night cough; swelling of the extremities).
    * AVOID SALT and HIGH SODIUM foods to help your blood pressure. Read food labels to check salt or sodium content.
    * The following foods are usually high in SODIUM: soup, snack food(potato chips), canned meat, salad dressing, ham, bacon, hot dogs, and fast food.
    ADVERSE REACTIONS: Stop taking this medicine and get emergency help IMMEDIATELY if you experience:
    Severe allergic reaction; Shortness of breath, fast or irregular breathing, fever, joint pain, fast pulse, lightheadedness or fainting, swelling of face, hives, & itching.
    Stop taking this medicine and notify your doctor AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience:
    Slowness of heartbeat; Dizziness; Muscle cramps; Nausea; Unusual tiredness or weakness; Drowsiness; Rapid heart rate; Unusual bleeding or bruising; Fever; Lightheadedness; Skin rash; Sore throat; Diarrhea; Vomiting; Muscle weakness.
    Other Common Side Effects: TOP
    Depression; Nightmares; Increased sensitivity to sunlight; Congestive heart failure; Decreased appetite; Stomach discomfort or pain; Bloating; Cough; Constipation; Dry mouth; Flu-like symptoms; Gas; Headache; Itching; Muscle pain; Visual disturbances; Decreased sexual desire; Stomach or intestinal irritation; Dizziness when getting up; Abnormal blood cell count; Blurred vision; Skin inflammation; Yellowing of eyes or skin; A small hemorrhage; Pulmonary edema; Burning pain, tingling, or numbness; Cardiovascular irregularities; Confusion; Impotence; Difficulty falling asleep; Decreased sexual ability; Breathing difficulty.
    Other Common Side Effects:
    If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome, check with your doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE, CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.
