    FARXIGA

    DAPAGLIFLOZIN ORAL (FARXIGA)

    BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE: Tell your doctor if you are having any of the following conditions: TOP
    KIDNEY DISEASE; LOW BLOOD PRESSURE; HYPOGLYCEMIA (LOW BLOOD SUGAR); HYPERKALEMIA; URINARY TRACT INFECTION; FUNGAL INFECTION.
    * Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical problems; pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
    * Check with your Doctor, Pharmacists, or Nurse if information in this leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information about your medicine and its use.
    HOW MEDICINE IS ADMINISTERED? TOP
    Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label, unless instructed differently by your doctor
    * Patient should read specific "MEDICATION GUIDE" provided with this medicine before starting treatment and each time their prescription is renewed.
    * Take once daily with first meal of the day.
    WARNINGS/PRECAUTIONS: TOP
    * STOP TAKING MEDICINE & GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF A HYPERSENSITIVITY OR ANAPHYLACTIC REACTION occurs: (see symptoms below):-
    * Safety of use during pregnancy has not been established. This medicine SHOULD NOT BE USED DURING PREGNANCY unless benefit justifies potential risk to the fetus. CALL YOUR DOCTOR.
    * SYMPTOMS OF HYPERSENSITIVITY (eg, fever, rash, itching, difficulty breathing, vision problems, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain).
    * Inform your doctor if you have KIDNEY DISEASE; monitoring of renal function and/or dose adjustment may be necessary.
    * DO NOT USE POTASSIUM supplements or salt substitutes containing potassium without consulting your doctor.
    * This medicine may decrease BLOOD SUGAR levels in diabetics, dose adjustment of antidiabetic agents may be necessary.
    * This medicine may cause increased levels of cholesterol and/or other lipids. Use with caution if you have moderate to high lipid concentrations.
    * Monitor blood pressure
    * You should exercise appropriate care in avoiding heat exposure, overheating, and dehydration.
    Other Common Side Effects: TOP
    Increased thirst; Vaginal fungal infections; Yeast infection; Changes in urination frequency or amount; High potassium level; Low blood sugar level; Urinary tract infection; Urinary frequency.
    Other Common Side Effects:
    If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome, check with your doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE, CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.
